![]() When the goals have been met the player has the option to move on to a new, more elaborate hospital with tougher winning conditions and more diseases present. Holding negative funds or allowing sufficient patients to die will bring about losing requirements. The player may also force the patient into taking a chance of possible cure at the risk of killing the patient (this is useful, for example, if a patient is about to die but has already completed enough diagnostics requirements to identify the kind of disease the patient is suffering from) and rearrange the queue of each of the rooms in the hospital (useful for moving dying patients to the front of the queue so they can receive treatment first).Įach level consists of an empty hospital to plan and design, with set goals in the fields of financial attainment, patients cured, percent of patients cured, and hospital value. The player does, however, have the ability to pick up any staff member in the building and move them to a different area (to speed up their movement from place to place) and to expel any patients from the hospital (if they are being a nuisance, causing rowdiness or about to die and affect the hospital's statistics). The player has no direct control over the patients that wander the hospital, although gameplay largely centres on influencing their actions in one way or another. The game has a somewhat dark sense of humour, which is similar to that of Theme Park in many ways. The game is set in a hospital, and requires the player to build an environment which will attract patients with comical complaints, illnesses, emergencies, and diseases. The game was a massive commercial success, selling over 4 million copies worldwide. The game is the thematic successor to Theme Park, a game also produced by Bullfrog. Like most of Bullfrog's games, Theme Hospital is permeated by an eccentric sense of humour. Theme Hospital is a business simulation game developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts in 1997, in which the player designs and operates a hospital. Few solutions focus on the evolution of the model over time, i.e., its history, although history is required for monitoring temporal behaviors and may enable more informed decision-making. This setting has sparked an interest in solutions that use a runtime model which reflects the system state and operational context to monitor and adapt the system in reaction to changes during its runtime. #Option deltagraph software#Modern software systems are intricate and operate in highly dynamic environments for which few assumptions can be made at design-time. These implementations allow us to carry out a comprehensive study of the feasibility and usability (through business analyses), the efficiency (saving up to 99% query execution times comparing to classic approaches) and the scalability of our solution. Based on the translation rules, we implement several temporal graphs according to benchmark and real-world datasets in the Neo4j data store. We define a set of translation rules to convert our conceptual model into the logical property graph. It has the advantage of being generic as it captures the different kinds of changes that may occur in interconnected data. To do so, we propose a new conceptual model of temporal graphs. The objective of this paper is to propose a complete solution to manage temporal interconnected data. For decision makers, these data changes provide additional insights to explain the underlying behaviour of a business domain. However, most of the existing work on the topic does not take into account the temporal dimension of such data, even though they may change over time: new interconnections, new internal characteristics of data (etc.). Graph data management systems are designed for managing highly interconnected data. This helps us attain better control for the size of our representation and reap further memory savings. Finally, our framework is the first effort we are aware of, that considers actual time instead of time steps. Moreover, our memory-efficient representation yields more than 70% faster graph compression and orders of magnitude quicker retrieval of graphs' elements, especially when it comes to large-scale networks. Our experimental evaluation demonstrates that our approach for compressing temporal graphs readily outperforms competing techniques, attaining compression ratios that are on average around 60% of the space required by state-of-the-art techniques. We empirically establish properties exhibited by community-networks regarding their time aspect(s) and harness these features in our proposed representation. ![]() In this paper we propose a framework for compressing emerging temporal graphs based on a dual-representation which articulates both network structure and corresponding temporal information. In reality however, networks change over time and, in many instances, we are interested in capturing and studying this evolution. Despite their success, such methods mostly focus on static graphs, and predominantly offer access to either a snapshot or an aggregated view of a network. Respective approaches offer succinct mappings for social, biological, and information networks while allowing for the efficient access of sought graph elements. Graph compression techniques have managed to reduce memory requirements and allow for representing such networks using a few bits-per-edge. This hinders the timely analysis of the formed networks due to existing physical memory limitations and significant I/O overheads. During the last decade, the volume growth of such systems has been unprecedented. Contemporary data-systems empowering the daily human activity are routinely represented with graphs. ![]() ![]() Thread View: Displays network activity of each of your app's CPU threads.Īs shown in figure 2, this view allows you to inspect which of yourĪpp's threads are responsible for each network request.įigure 2.You also seeĪ detailed breakdown of the selected portion of the timeline, showing when You can sort this list by clicking any of the column headers. #METRIC HALO MIO CONSOLE SOFTWARE#This sort of separate hardware is, I suspect, the only thing that would satisfy what I truly want and I do not consider this a deficiency of the software or the MIO interfaces. is just plain easier and more ergonomic on that sort of controller via the remote (both the dangerous and the crane song units have great remotes). Also, being able to dim, mute, switch between my 3 sets of speakers, etc. (it and the avocet are basically the only two monitor controllers that I like).Ĭertainly, I understand the functionality that the monitor controller section of the MIO software provides, but I still want that damn magic knob. when there is 1 little button (ok 2) that can do it.įunny how i paid extra for all the cool configurable nifty things this box should do, and now, i miss how easy my last box was. without the whole, ok start up mio, open the mc window, assign the outputs, adjust the volume. my GF and friends sometime jam tunes on my computer, and it would be nice if i could show them an easy way to control vol. not horrible, not crippling, but surely a disappointment, to me. the fact that this machine has buttons for volume, and they don't do it is just weak. ![]() the MH has 8 tracks, so i use it, but i really miss how easy it was with my duet. also, with the apoggee and m audio stuff, since the buttons work, the apple remote works, which is very handy. it is a fine way to control the monitors, but the built in dedicated buttons are handy for when i don't want to have to carry an extra accessory with me. I have my 2882 hooked up to an old griffin powermate. The following tutorial movies will help:Ĭonfiguring Shuttle Express for Monitor Controller:Īlso note that the Monitor Controller supports volume control from Mackie Control surfaces and EuCon Control Surfaces. You may want to familiarize yourself with the capabilities and configuration of the Monitor Controller. If you are not happy with the functionality of the Monitor Controller, please get in touch with support ( ) and provide detailed feedback about what you would like to see.Īs far as keyboard access to the monitor controller, that is possible now. That all being said, we have not had any feedback that "the monitor control section was one of the main things they didn't like about the ULN-8". #METRIC HALO MIO CONSOLE DRIVER#In particular, the Monitor Controller is not managed by the driver - the driver has no knowledge of the Monitor Controller configuration. The MIO Driver does not export driver volume controls because it is not really clear what they would mean, given the flexibility of the hardware configuration. #METRIC HALO MIO CONSOLE MAC#As soon as I roll back to Eucon 18.3 I will get my monitor controller back. The Mac Keyboard volume keys are mapped by the OS to driver volume controls. I have unchecked and re-checked to use Eucon in MIO Console in the MIO prefs and it does not connect. So I went ahead and installed 19.51 and the iPad connected as suspected but MIO Console stops working. My iPad must have updated PT control as I had gotten a warning on my mac that "PT Control and Eucon were Incompatible". I have to create about 250 DVD markers so this is the best time saver I had found. I created a great Eucon key command using my iPad to create DVD markers with one tap. I am doing a very large video project that spans three DVD's and 15 hours in Final Cut Pro. #METRIC HALO MIO CONSOLE UPDATE#I rolled it back to 18.3 and the controller went back to working just fine and I didn't think to even check to update it as it did what it needed to. Since 19.5 and 19.51 there has been no connection to MIO Console with my Artist Mix. In version 18.3 My Artist Mix works well with the latest version of MIO console. It is the software that is the brains behind my soundcard. So my artist mix is used as a way to control whatever I want to monitor. It is a fantastic way to control all my Ins and outs as I have multiple converters. ![]() Hi, so I mainly use my Artist Mix for controlling Metric Halo's MIO console. ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm interested in how the whole prophecy thing is going to play out in the next movie since in this movie they find out.ah well, I'm not going to spoil it.ġ) The guy at the end was definitely Bane, of the hand slicing fame. Some of the new characters were really great.I loved those pale dudes with the dreadlocks, very nice effects with them. That rave/sex scene at Zion could have a whole lot shorter and I thought that the ending was too abrupt. People had the same comments to make about "Empire Strikes Back" and "Two Towers" Special effects I thought were really great. I wasn't expecting "great", after all this is just a movie and a second in the trilogy and by definition there will always be a level of disappointment in the middle movie. So I keep away from that stuff until after I see the movie. ![]() Hollywood doesn't think that you've promoted something until you've seen half the movie in the trailers, in "the making of" shows, and in magazine articles. My key to prevent from being disappointed is that I put a strict "radio silence" on big movies I want to see. I saw it last night and I really enjoyed it. I'm glad I saw it, but I don't think a new generation of fanboys will pore over this DVD for details as closely as they did the first film. Not as good as the first, of course, but we can't be wowed again like we were 4 years ago. Though most of the new characters are forgettable, the keymaker was great fun, and Link was useful in reflecting the audience onscreen. Even the gratuitous fights, like the one before Neo meets the Oracle, were fun to watch. The freeze-frames during the Burly Brawl did look computer-generated, yes, but so what? Still fun as hell. The fight with the malovingian's goons was three times longer than it needed to be, and unsatisfying. During the Burly Brawl, video game music would've been an improvement over the accompaniment. And the worst thing about the movie was the music. They're talking about what they're going to do, they're doing it, oops! They're dead. ![]() Morpheus' big speech was underwhelming, and the cuts between expository dialogue and actions taking place during the "heist" scenes at the end seemed too abrupt. Along with a terribly unsexy sex scene layered on top of it. The hippie-dippie raver scene was only missing a hacky sack in order to perfect its lameness. I'm a bit concerned about what bit I missed at the end of the credits by not sticking around.īut the movie? It was entertaining, but not great. Lots of spoilers: Upside down guy was Cypher. What did you think? Post your reviews (or a link to your review) in the comments. We get it, but it's not compelling enough to build a whole movie around. I don't mind weighty movies, but the subject matter just didn't warrant all the seriousness. The movie was too weighty and took itself too seriously. The Matrix Reloaded would have worked a lot better as an action movie that took itself a little bit seriously (taking a page from the fun X2 flick) instead of a drama interspersed with action. The other disappointing thing was the tone of the movie. The technology they used was 1.0 (or maybe even still in beta) and it showed.give it a few years and then we'll have something. The fish in the Finding Nemo preview looked more fish-like than the humans in the Matrix Reloaded looked human-like. 100 Agent Smiths fight) looked, well, completely computer-generated. The completely computer-generated effects (e.g. In the end, I think the Wachowski brothers failed in what they were trying to do with the movie, which is disappointing.
